A terminal and a method for providing a composition screen are provided to select various composition screens easily when photographing. A process for storing plural composition screens is performed(S200). The composition screen displays the position of a specific object. The image of an object is displayed on a pre-view screen through a camera. One or more composition screens among plural composition screens are selected(S220). The specific composition screen selected at the selection process is overlapped and displayed on the pre-view screen, and the image of the object, in which the specific composition screen is not included, is produced when photographing an object(S260). When two or more composition screens are selected, the screens are displayed on the pre-view screen.
