PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication base station apparatus and a method of preventing dust invasion, which prevent invasion of dust that comes with wind into the apparatus in a wireless communication base station apparatus installed outside. SOLUTION: The wireless communication base-station apparatus 1 installed outside includes a fan means 2 for cooling the inside of the apparatus, an exhaust port for exhausting the exhaust air flow generated by driving the fan means 2, and a flap means 4 installed close to the exhaust opening and capable of opening or closing in response to the influence of the wind pressure. The flap means 4 operates itself to open the exhaust port in response to the influence of the wind pressure due to the exhaust air flow when the wind pressure due to the wind blowing from the outside of the wireless communication base station apparatus 1 is smaller than the wind pressure due to the exhaust air flow generated by driving the fan means 2, and operates itself to close the exhaust port in response to the influence of the wind pressure due to the wind blowing from the outside when the wind pressure due to the wind blowing form the outside of the wireless communication base station apparatus 1 is larger than the wind pressure due to the exhaust air flow generated by driving the fan means 2.
