PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection sensor which is more applicable to multi-use and more accurate than conventional one, while being capable of certainly detecting whether the reflective light volume from an object to be detected increases or decreases for the reflective light volume from background, even in the case of the object to be detected having the same reflective light as the background. SOLUTION: The reflection sensor 1 is constituted of light receiving parts R1-R4 in two or more positions where distance from a light projection part differs with respect to one light projection part P1. The respective light receiving parts comprise a window comparator function for emitting an ON or OFF signal as an output concerning existence or nonexistence of an object to be detected responding to the increase or decrease of light receiving volume to a threshold, and furthermore are constituted so as to cover mutually malfunction regions which may exist respectively by carrying out the logical adding (OR) of at least two decision outputs concerning the two or more light receiving parts.
