<p>A solid composition comprising:
(a) a sodium or potassium salt of cyanuric acid; and
(b) a mixture of a tetraborate salt and boric acid in amounts sufficient to produce a pH from7 to 8. Optionally, the composition further comprises sodium chloride or potassium chloride.
The composition is used in providing chlorinated water for recreational purposes by addition to a body of recreational water equipped with a chlorine generator, followed by electrolysis of the treated water to produce chlorine.</p> |
