A method for measuring performance parameters of an MPLS network, including: exchanging a message for performance parameter measurement between a first node and a second node; and measuring a performance parameter of the MPLS network according to the message for performance parameter measurement. The embodiments of the present invention also provide an apparatus for measuring performance parameters of an MPLS network. The embodiments of the present invention provides basis for the SLA conformity check in the existing MPLS network. In the embodiments of the present invention, a detailed method for measuring performance parameters of the MPLS network is given, which will provide important reference for the MPLS network planning and the MPLS network layout optimization, and further help the MPLS network to exert its unique advantages to the greatest extent. |
