<p>An inter-packet-node paging between communication networks is provided to guarantee operating of cross-paging by a strengthened paging request when a dormant MS(Mobile Station) moves between sub-networks. A overlapping code is advertised between the first and second communication networks having adjacent location areas(62). An MS is provided at the first location region served by the first communication network(64). While the MS is in a dormant state, the MS moves to the second location area served by the second communication network(66). It is checked whether or not the MS has been registered in a network associated with the advertised overlapping code. If the MS has been registered in the network associated with the advertised overlapping code, the MS does not need to register to the second communication network while the second communication network is informed to send a notification to the MS(68,72).</p> |
