Watertight shoe construction and method for its production

The waterproof footwear has an upper (13) and an insole (15). The upper material (17) has an end zone (27) on the sole side, and a waterproof layer (19) with an end zone (23), at the inner side of the upper material stitched (25) to the insole. At the stitching there is a gap (33) at least partially around the bottom of the upper material and the insole for a liquid sealant. The end of the waterproof layer extends at least into the stitching to be sealed for waterproofing.
