A plasma display panel is provided to decrease power consumption and extend a lifetime of the PDP by decreasing a driving voltage for generating address and sustain discharges. A plasma display panel includes a rear substrate, a front substrate, plural address electrodes(102), plural sustain electrode pairs(203), plural auxiliary electrode pairs(206), and a barrier rib(104). The address electrodes traverse the rear substrate. The pair of sustain electrodes include common and scan electrodes(201,202), which traverse the front substrate to cross the address electrodes. The pair of auxiliary electrodes include first and second auxiliary electrodes(204,205), which traverse the front substrate and are arranged to be opposed to each other between the common and scan electrodes to form auxiliary discharge gaps. The barrier rib defines plural discharge cells between the front and rear substrates.
