An alarm device for alerting a degree of frictional wear of a brake pad is provided to allow a driver to recognize of exchange time for the brake pad by accurately monitoring when frictional wear limit point thereof has been approached. An alarm device for alerting a degree of frictional wear of a brake pad comprises a brake pad in which a friction pad(2) is attached to a shoe(1), a tact switch(11) for turning on an alarm light(14), a housing(10) having a connecting hole(15) in the middle part thereof, a connecting tube(16), a piston(12) for performing on-off control of the tack switch, a frictional wear detecting hole(4), and a branch tube(17). The connecting tube is connected to a vacuum tank(18) at the bottom of the housing to apply the inside of the housing with a vacuum pressure. The piston is raised by an elastic force of a spring(13) to turn on the tack switch when vacuum pressure in the housing has been removed after maintaining the piston in a descent state.
