FIELD: process for preparing of fresh apples for storage and further usage in space feeding. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves inspecting apples and washing at predetermined mode parameters in sweet water; sequentially holding in 0.02%-potassium permanganate solution, 0.5%-citric acid solution and 0.005%-suspension of preparation produced from biomass of Mortierella pulchella micromycet by predetermined process; exposing to ultraviolet radiation; packaging each apple fruit in smoking paper and placing in polymer trays. Method allows apples to be transported to space object, stored there during 45 days and used in space feeding. ^ EFFECT: prolonged shelf life and improved quality of fresh apples. |
