A bioabsorbable device having a capsulized additive for accelerated decomposition is provided to obtain desired functional effects and desired reduction of mass. A medical device(50) includes a structure consisting of one kind of biodegradable and/or bioabsorbable material(75), a decomposition additive and another kind of biodegradable and/or bioabsorbable material(80). The decomposition additive is capsulized by another biodegradable and/or bioabsorbable material to form nano-particles or micro-particles that exist together with one kind of biodegradable and/or bioabsorbable material. Another kind of biodegradable and/or bioabsorbable material has a faster decomposing speed than one kind of biodegradable and/or bioabsorbable material, and is formed into nano-paraticles or micro-particles. |
