An apparatus and a method for bonding hetero metals are provided to prevent welding materials from flowing along an outer surface of a metal during welding work for hetero metals having different melting points. An apparatus for bonding hetero metals comprises dual expanding sections(26,28) formed at one of two hetero metals, and a high-frequency machine(10) having electrode plates(12a,12b) at both sides thereof to receive current. A heating pipe(16) is attached to each electrode plate. The heating pipe has a coil unit to heat the metal having the dual expanding sections. A welding member is provided at a tip portion of the dual expanding sections to bond hetero metals to each other. A coolant feeding pipe(14a) and a coolant discharge pipe(14b) are connected to the heating pipe to supply and discharge cooling water.
