<p>An air conditioning system and a method for controlling the same are provided to prevent the deterioration of defrost efficiency even during defrosting operation in the winter season and to defrost rapidly by increasing the defrost efficiency. An air conditioning system comprise at least one air conditioner unit(100), a plurality of outdoor units(210,220,230,240) connected to each of heat exchangers(110,120,130,140) installed within the air conditioner unit, and a defrosting unit alternatively coupled to one of the outdoor units, which are need to run a defrost operation. The air conditioner unit includes a case(101) having an inlet and an outlet communicated to the indoor, an intake port(102) and an exhaust port(103) disposed on the lateral side of the case to communicate to the outdoor, and at least on fans(106,107) installed in the case. The fans exhaust the indoor air to the exhaust port and intake outdoor air to the intake port.</p> |
