PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the number of revolution of an arm shaft in turning on/off by a clutch mechanism by increasing the response speed of the clutch mechanism. SOLUTION: This sewing machine is provided with a driving source for rotationally driving a rotating hook shaft and a transmission mechanism for transmitting the power of the rotating hook shaft rotationally driven by the driving source to the arm shaft. The transmission mechanism has the clutch mechanism which switches the transmitting state of the power to a transmittable state or a non-transmittable state.
