PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve digest reproduction for sequentially reproducing the part of video subtitled together with its subtitle.

SOLUTION: Every time subtitle data superimposed on video data received by a television broadcast reception part 13 are separated from the video data and also a video part in which subtitle data are inserted is sequentially specified as a subtitle part, a CPU1 obtains the subtitle data and the video data from the subtitle part and also associates the subtitle data with the video data and reproduces and displays them from a main display part 10.
