PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of searching for a recommended route desirable to a user from a viewpoint of cost effectiveness. SOLUTION: A shortened time when using a highway and a charge per prescribed unit time are calculated by a calculation means (a CPU 11, a calculation program 17b3). When the charge per unit time is calculated by the calculation means, it is discriminated whether the charge per unit time exceeds a threshold or not by a discrimination means (the CPU 11, a discrimination program 17b6), and a prescribed recommended search route is displayed by the second display control means (the CPU 11, the second display control program 17b7), based on the charge per unit time discriminated by the discrimination means.
