<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of ineffective utilization of wind because the existing Magnus wind power generation device employs a simple cylindrical structure as a Magnus blade shape and Magnus force generated over the whole length of a blade is the same in the simple cylindrical structure, and of a necessity of preventing a wind flow because the wind flow in a radial direction is generated in the Magnus blade by centrifugal force and the wind flow does not contribute to generation of Magnus force but causes windage loss. <P>SOLUTION: The Magnus blades 51, 52, 53, 54 of the Magnus cylindrical wind power generation device 30 are improved to be shaped into a different diameter Magnus cylinder that has a smaller diameter in a rotational center part and a larger diameter in a circumferential part. Thereby, the Magnus blades can be formed into a blade shape to increase Magnus force in a Magnus blade circumferential part, and rotation moment is made large to increase output of a generator and improve efficiency of the Magnus blades. Windage loss is reduced by the Magnus blade shape or a straightening vane preventing a radial flow on Magnus blade surfaces. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
