PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish an image data management technique by which attribute information of an image captured by a camera, or the like, can be changed, by displaying the attribute information as icons and letting the user operate the displayed icons. SOLUTION: An image data managing apparatus which changes the attribute information of image on a display device, comprises a display means which displays, on the display device, an icon representing the attribute information recorded, in correspondence with the image; a changing means which changes the attribute information of the image by changing the icon on the display device; and a recording means which records the attribute information of after the change, in correspondence with the image.
