PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unexpected overflowing water from affecting others around a dehumidifying means which is the lowest part of a circulation air sending route. SOLUTION: In the drum type washing/drying machine provided with a rotary drum 2 rotationally driven and housing laundry inside a water tub 3 for executing respective processes of washing, rinsing and dewatering and executing a laundry drying process by circulating air inside the water tub 3 through a circulation air sending route 5 provided with a heat exchange part 39 housing a dehumidifying means 31 and a heating means 32 by a blowing means, the heat exchange part 39 is positioned at the lowest part of the circulation air sending route 5, a negative pressure area 71 by the flow of the air is provided inside a device body 38, a water discharge hole 72 for discharging more than prescribed amount of unexpected overflowing water is provided on the peripheral wall 38b of the device body 44 facing the negative pressure area 71; the water discharge hole 72 is provided with a check valve 73 to be closed by suction from the negative pressure area 71, and thus the unexpected overflowing water is prevented from affecting the others.
