PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a projection place environment controllable by a projector. SOLUTION: A projection type display apparatus (9) stores two or more control commands corresponding to various kinds of equipment (2 to 6) installed in a projection place, and also selects one of two or more of the appreciation modes in response to operation of a user (10), and transmits a control command adaptive to the selected appreciation mode to the equipment (2 to 6). The various equipment arranged in the projection place (for example, ceiling lamp, electric curtain, air-conditioner, audio system 6, reading lamp, and the like) can be controlled from the projection type display apparatus, and a technique which can control the use environment of the projection type display apparatus is provided.
