PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning blade having improved wear-resistance and chipping-resistance, prevented from being permanently deformed, thereby capable of maintaining a good cleaning performance over a long period. SOLUTION: The cleaning blade comprises at least a first layer that comes in contact with the surface of a member to be cleaned and a rear layer that does not come in contact with the surface of the member to be cleaned, the first layer material satisfies an expression (1): 3.92≤M≤29.42, an expression (2): 0<α≤0.294 and an expression (3): S≥250, wherein M denotes 100% modulus (MPa),αdenotes the ratio of a stress change (Δstress) to a distortion change (Δdistortion) in a distortion of 100 to 200% in a stress-distortion curve, that is,Δstress/Δdistortion = (stress at distortion 200% - stress at distortion 100%)/(200-100) (MPa/%), and S denotes breaking elongation (%) measured based on JIS K6251 (using dumbbell-like No.3 type test piece).
