<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system capable of performing various types of photographing in accurate timing. <P>SOLUTION: An acceleration sensor unit 12 comprises an acceleration sensor and a Bluetooth (R) module and transmits a signal based on a detection result of the acceleration sensor, namely, an acceleration of the acceleration sensor unit 12. A mobile phone terminal 14 with a camera also comprises a Bluetooth (R) module and receives a signal from the acceleration sensor unit 12. On the basis of the signal, a CPU of the mobile phone terminal 14 with the camera controls the timing to perform photographing. In a certain mode, when the acceleration of the acceleration sensor unit 12 becomes below a threshold value, still photographing is performed. In another mode, only while the acceleration of the acceleration sensor unit 12 is above the threshold value, movie shooting is performed.
