发明名称 METHOD OF MANUFACTURING STEEL WIRE FOR COLD FORGING
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a steel wire for cold forging with which seizing can be prevented even in intensive working and/or high-speed cold forging by the same manufacturing process as a conventional process. SOLUTION: After forming at least one layer of a base film, wire drawing is performed by using a powder lubricant before a die consisting of, by mass, 5-10% sodium soap, 5-10% calcium soap, 5-10% barium soap, 20-60% graphite which is≤10μm in the average particle diameter, at request,≤10% fluororesin and/or molybdenum disulfide and the balance lime. The reduction in area of the wire drawing is taken as 3-20% and the diameter difference (mm) of steel before and after the wire drawing as not smaller than the value of A which is determined by next formula. A=(150×Ca% +260×Na%+240×Ba%)/10<SP>4</SP>+0.07. Where, Ca%, Na% and Ba% are the blending rates [mass%] of the calcium, sodium and barium soaps, respectively in the dry lubricant.
