PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-held type machine tool capable of directly and suitably illuminating a work area. SOLUTION: In the hand-held type machine tool in which a housing 10 having a tool receiving section 15 for receiving an inserted tool and at least one illuminating element 22 for illuminating the work area of the hand-held type machine tool is therein arranged, at least one illuminating element 22 is arranged on an area of the tool receiving section 15.
