BASE STATION DEVICE AND CELL CONFIGURATION METHOD

Provided is a base station device capable of improving the frequency use efficiency while maintaining the communication quality. The base station device includes a plurality of directivity antennas, power control means for controlling the transmission power, and frequency managing means for managing the frequency band so as to form a cell. The cell includes: a base cell formed by a plurality of sector cells having a cell boundary against a cell formed by an adjacent base station device; and a small cell having a smaller radius than that of the base cell and having at least four sector cells. The base cell and the small cell are superimposed on each other. The frequency managing means performs management so that different frequency bands are allocated for the respective sector cells of the base cell while frequency bands different from the frequency bands allocated to the base cell are allocated to the respective sector cells of the small cell wherein the frequency bands are different between the adjacent sector cells and identical in at least two sector cells.
