An image conservation system is provided to print contents received through data broadcasting during an error state of a printing development after the printing device is recovered from the error. A printer(100) includes a UPnP(Universal Plug and Play)(10e) function part obtaining an XML(eXtensible Markup Language)-based script describing contents and reference image data referred by the script, a script interpreter(10d) interpreting the script, and a contents storing part(12). The UPnP function part obtains the reference image data from a reference source according to an interpretation result of the script interpreter when a printing request including the script is received. The script interpreter corrects the script by making the reference source of the reference image data point the contents storing part, and stores the corrected script and the reference image data to the contents storing part. The script interpreter obtains an operation state of the printing device from a printer manager(10a), and stores the corrected script and the reference image data to the contents storing part when the printer is the state incapable of processing the printing request promptly. |
