PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediary server authenticating a communication device at a low load, and intermediating communication. SOLUTION: This intermediary server has: a communication requirement reception part 102 receiving a communication requirement message requiring a start of the communication to an authentication server 200 from an SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) client 400; a communication intermediation part 103 intermediating the communication between the SIP client 400 and the authentication server 200 correspondingly to the received communication requirement message; an authentication state reception part 104 receiving an authentication state of the SIP client 400 from the authentication server 200; and a decision part 105 deciding whether the authentication of the SIP client 400 is possible or not on the basis of the received authentication state.
