<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical receipt processing system capable of obtaining the correct name of a disease with respect to the name of a disease written in a different way. <P>SOLUTION: The medical receipt processing system includes a reading part for reading a written character string; a code table for storing a variety of disease names and name codes set correspondingly to the names; a symbol registering part for registering delimiters; a detecting/dividing part for performing detecting and dividing action to detect, using the symbol registering part, delimiters from the written character string read and to divide the written character string into character string portions according to the delimiters; a link generating part for linking the character string portions together to generate the linked character strings as the name of a complex disease; a search/determination part for searching the code table and determining if the name of a disease exists; and a taking part for taking the name of a disease and its name code out of the code table. The search/determination part searches the code table and determines if the code table contains the name of the complex disease; if the name of a disease matching the name of the complex disease exists, the taking part takes the matching name of the disease and the corresponding name code out of the code table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
