PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display system capable of confirming video images photographed in a video photographing device according to a prescribed photographing start request such as the calling of an intercom while viewing optional video images such as television broadcasting or external input video images at the video display part of a television receiver, to provide the television receiver, and to provide an electric appliance constituting it. SOLUTION: When the display of a photographed video image photographed in the video photographing device is requested (step S201), if it is the state of displaying the optional video image at the video display part of the television receiver (No side of step S203), the optional video image and the photographed video image are combined and displayed at the video display means (step S206).
