PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dryer capable of improving the start-up property of drying by effectively utilizing heat generation from a compressor case body for heating drying air, suppressing the decline of the dehumidification capacity of the drying air by keeping a refrigerant temperature at a gas cooler exit low, and suppressing the excessive rise of the temperature of the drying air at the gas cooler exit by suppressing the excessive temperature rise of the compressor case. SOLUTION: The dryer for executing the drying operation of an object to be dried in a housing chamber comprises: a refrigerant circuit composed by successively and annularly piping and connecting a compressor, a gas cooler, a capillary tube and an evaporator; and an air circulation route for dividing air after heat-exchanged with the evaporator to a first branch air route where the gas cooler is arranged and a second branch air route where the compressor is arranged by an opening/closing damper, discharging the air heat-exchanged with the gas cooler inside the first branch air route and the air heat-exchanged with the compressor inside the second branch air route into the housing chamber and heat-exchanging the air through the housing chamber with the evaporator again.
