<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase secrecy in a print system including a print data generation device 01-01 for generating print data, a printer 01-02 for forming print data generated by the print data generation device 01-01 on a medium; and a freely attachable/detachable removable medium 01-03 for mediating data transfer from the print data generation device 01-01 to the printer 01-02. <P>SOLUTION: In the removable medium 01-03, a memory area (1) 04-05 stores print data accepted by the print data generation device 01-01, and a read-only memory region (2) 04-06 stores a secret key unique to equipment necessary for the electronic signature of print data and a public key making a pair with the secret key, and a memory area (3) 04-07 stores the electronic signature encrypted by the secret key. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
