An auxiliary electric heater for drying a red pepper is provided to reduce the cost for drying the red pepper by quickly raising the temperature in a drying chamber using the auxiliary electric heater. An auxiliary electric heater for drying a red pepper comprises a body(10) which includes receiving sections(11,12) at two sides thereof. A ventilation plate, which has a plurality of air holes formed therein, is interposed between the receiving sections. An electric heating member(20) has a heat exchange plate(22) which is fitted into an outer surface of the electric heating member. Ground bars(21) are formed at two sides of the electric heating member so that the ground bars are fitted into the receiving sections. The ground bars are connected to each other through a ground plate(30). A power supply(40) is connected to one of the ground bars.
