PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-sided image forming apparatus forming an image on one face without dirtying the other face with an image. SOLUTION: The double-sided image forming apparatus comprises: a paper feeding part 3; a printing part 4; a first carrying passage 6 carrying a fed paper sheet 2 to a paper delivery part 8 through the printing part 4; and a second carrying passage 7 receiving the paper sheet 2 with printed first face 21 by its carrying surface from the first carrying passage 6, carrying the paper sheet 2 while turning over the paper sheet 2, and carrying it to the upstream in a carrying direction of the printing part 4 of first carrying passage 6. The second carrying passage 7 has a turnover/carrying passage 9 receiving a second face 22 of the paper sheet 2 by its carrying surface and turning over/carrying the paper sheet 2. The turnover/carrying passage 9 is constituted by combining a plurality of turnover mechanisms each constituted of a first carrying part 91 straightly carrying the paper sheet 2, a turnover part 92 turning over the carried paper sheet 2 while the paper sheet 2 is curved along a curved inner peripheral surface; and a second carrying part 93 linearly carrying the turned-over paper sheet 2.
