<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support an operator by evaluating a result of a defined fold program prior to actual folding. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for selecting a fold program for a job to be carried out on a fold system. The job is provided with a job specification. The method includes a calculating stage for calculating a fold program and an associated fold configuration based on the job specification, resulting in a set of configuration properties. The method further includes an evaluating stage for evaluating the fold program to check whether the associated fold configuration properties satisfy a set of configuration conditions.
