PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin damping and sound isolation member which is excellent in damping and sound isolation characteristic. SOLUTION: The damping and sound isolation member of a plate shape is composed of an elastic material and is attached in contact with a vibrating noise source, wherein the surface which contacts with the noise source has a plurality of bottomed holes 11 which do not penetrate through both the front and the back, and P/2≤L≤P is satisfied, wherein L is a maximum diameter of the bottomed holes 11 and P is a pitch between the bottomed holes.
