PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized extracting device capable of simply performing extraction using heating by irradiation with microwaves and safely extracting effective components at a low cost over a short period of time. SOLUTION: The small-sized extracting device for extracting and obtaining the effective components from plant raw materials or animal raw materials by heating by irradiation with microwaves is provided with a material part housing the above raw materials and a solvent, a recovering part arranged in the material part and recovering the condensed solvent and the extracted effective components, and a cooling part arranged on the recovering part so as to communicate with the recovering part and capable of housing a stored coolant. The recovering part possesses a solvent recycling pipe for returning the condensed solvent to the material part, the material part is made of a microwave transmitting material and this small-sized extracting device is suitable as an extracting device for a microwave oven.
