PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique related to a portable terminal device whose display unit is relatively movable to a main body unit and in which a scratch onto the display is hard to be produced. SOLUTION: The portable terminal device having a folding structure includes a main body unit 20 having operation keys 21, a display unit 10 which is connected to the main unit 20 freely movably and has a display 11 on an opposite plane facing the operation keys 21 when being folded, and a display scratch preventing protrusion 12 provided on the above opposite plane of the display unit 10 and on the outer edge portion of the display 11 in away that its height at the connection side to the main body unit 20 is lower than that at the free end side of the display unit 10.
