PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening device for a top-hinged out-swinging type or a single swinging type opening device, wherein a user can open/close near the body at the time of opening/closing without extending the hand to the outside of a room. SOLUTION: The opening device is composed of a frame body 11 arranged along a peripheral edge of the building opening part, a sliding door 20 arranged in the frame body, an at least one hinge 16 rotatably connecting the frame body and the sliding door and an opening/closing means 30 whose one end is attached to the frame body at a location spaced from the hinge and the other end is attached to the sliding door so as to freely open/close the sliding door. Furthermore, the one end of the opening/closing means is an operating part 31 arranged on the inside surface in the face direction of the frame body operating the opening/closing means while the other end of the opening/closing means extending from the operating part passes through the frame body so as to connect to the sliding door.
