PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for executing document analysis by efficient and accurate pattern matching.

SOLUTION: A syntax pattern group composed of rules for performing output of registration data based on a pattern matching condition is classified according to the complicatedness of rules and set as a plurality of syntax pattern groups, and syntax pattern matching analysis processing is executed while successively applying the syntax pattern groups in ascending order of the complicatedness of rules. According to this structure, document analysis by efficient and accurate pattern matching can be performed.
