A supernatant vertical transfer type wastewater settling apparatus is provided to discharge simultaneously the supernatant to the outside by sucking up supernatant formed by surface tension generated between air and the water surface formed by wastewater flown into a settling tank, and perform removal of waste sludge and discharge of supernatant at a constant speed. In a wastewater settling apparatus comprising a scraper(11) fixed to a rotary shaft to remove waste sludge within a cylindrical settling tank(10) having an inclined surface formed on a bottom part thereof, a supernatant vertical transfer type wastewater settling apparatus comprises: a supernatant withdrawing unit(20) installed such that supernatant formed in an upper part of wastewater flown into the settling tank is vertically transferred and withdrawn by surface tension; a wastewater inflow part(30) installed to flow wastewater containing waste sludge into the settling tank; a fixed quantity transfer unit(40) for adjusting a transfer quantity of wastewater flown into the settling tank through the wastewater inflow part; and a waste sludge discharge part(50) formed on the inclined surface of the settling tank to discharge waste sludge settled on a bottom part of the settling tank. The supernatant withdrawing unit includes supernatant storage tanks(21), a plurality of withdrawing pipes(22), and a supernatant discharge pipe(23). The wastewater inflow part includes an inflow pipe(31) and an inflow port(32). The fixed quantity transfer unit includes a metering pump(41). The waste sludge discharge part includes a discharge pipe(51) and a discharge port(52).
