<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a key, having a woody portion sandwiched between an upper member and a lower member, durable in a keyboard device of a keyboard musical instrument, and to simplify the structure of a hinge portion. <P>SOLUTION: The woody portion 11 is sandwiched between the upper member 12 and lower member 13 and bonded. A boss portion 14a of a base end member 14 is engaged between extension portions 12a and 13a of the upper member 12 and lower member 13, and screwed with screws N1 and N1. The height of the boss portion 14a is nearly equal to the thickness of the woody portion 11. A support portion 14c of the base end member 14 is screwed to a key support portion 20a. The base end member 14 is formed of elastic synthetic resin, and a key 10 is supported on a frame 20 rotatably with the elastic force of a hinge portion 14b.
