摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated metal microparticles which have superior corrosion resistance and large specific surface area, and to provide a method for producing such coated metal microparticles. SOLUTION: This production method comprises the steps of; mixing a powder containing Ti (except powder of Ti oxide) with an oxide powder of a metal (M) having such a standard free energy of formation of the oxide as to satisfy a relationship ofΔG<SB>M-O</SB>>ΔG<SB>TiO2</SB>; obtaining coated metal microparticles by reducing an oxide of the metal (M) by heat-treating the mixed powder obtained in the first step, at 650 to 900°C in a non-oxidative atmosphere; and coating the surface of the obtained microparticles of the metal (M) with Ti oxide which includes TiO<SB>2</SB>as a main component; and immersing the coated metal microparticles in an artificial liquid of a living body.
