The container (3) comprises an aerosol canister (12) containing a propellant for forcing the liquid component (2) out of the container and into the mixing cavity (5). The canister has a single-piece construction and includes or is connected to a dispensing piston (8) which can be opened using at least one opening device (13) provided on the mixer (1). The mixer contains at least one mixing cavity in which the liquid component, preferably a monomer, is combined with the powder component (4), preferably a polymer. The powder component is stored in the mixing cavity and combined with the liquid component using at least one movable mixing device (6). At least one piston is used to dispense the bone cement mixture from an outlet portion (9) of the mixing cavity.
