A storage medium drive and a head slider are provided to simplify the structure of a head slider by sharing a part of wire in a control circuit and a first and a second actuator. A storage medium drive comprises a head slider(31), a head element, a first and a second actuator(65,66), a first and a second conductive terminal(72,73), a control circuit(78), and a first and a second diode(75,77). The first and the second actuators are placed in the head slider, and generate driving force to move the head element. An electrical signal is supplied from the control circuit to the first and the second conductive terminals. The first diode defines a first current flow direction from the first conductive element to the second conductive element. The second diode defines a second current flow direction from the second conductive element to the first conductive element. The electric current of the first direction is supplied to the first actuator. The electric current of the second direction is supplied to the second actuator. The control circuit and the first and the second actuators share a part of wire.
