<p>A cervical vertebrae protective band having high compression strength in the lateral direction, allowing formation of an opening having a large area to provide excellent mountability, having high cushioning performance at the top and bottom edges, and providing the user with excellent feeling of contact at the lower jaw part of the user. The cervical vertebrae protective band has a band-like protective band body having sufficient length and width to surround the generally entire part of the cervical part of the user, and also has a disengageable fixing means. In use, the fixing means holds the protective band body in a use state in which the protective band body is curved along the periphery of the cervical part of the user. The protective band body is a layered body of a core plate and a cushioning body. The cushioning body is composed of a cushioning body main part and a cushioning body edge part. The cushioning body main part is fitted to either the front side or the rear side of the core plate, which side is on the cervical part side at least when in use. The cushioning body edge part covers the upper and lower edges of the core plate.</p> |
