PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting device that detects perforation holes of a cinematographic film 1. SOLUTION: The detecting device of the present invention includes at least one or more light sources 6, 6', and 6'', scanning sensors 7, 7', and 7'' configured to receive light 8 emitted by the light sources after interaction with a perforation zone of the film 1, and an evaluating circuit which detects, by means of an output signal of the scanning sensor, when an edge of the perforation hole 3 passes through between the light source and the scanning sensors.
