<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a magnetic pole position correction amount even in a state where driving force is not given to a rotary electric machine. <P>SOLUTION: A controller (100) of the vehicle rotary electric machine is provided with a magnetic pole position detection means (20) detecting a magnetic pole position of the rotary electric machine (200) connected to a driving wheel (320) through a disconnection/connection means (350) and a correction amount operation means (40) obtaining the magnetic pole position correction amount so that stator current flowing in the rotary electric machine (200) becomes an almost zero state and a d-axis voltage command value becomes almost zero. The controller controls conduction of the rotary electric machine (200) in accordance with the magnetic pole position detected by the magnetic pole position detection means (20) and the magnetic pole position correction amount.
