706,507. Suction end-catchers and cleaning arrangements for spinning machines. LUFTTECHNISCHE GES. July 10, 1951 [July 10, 1950], No. 16347/51. Classes 120(2) and 120(3) A thread suction apparatus for spinning machines including a blower, a driving motor for the blower and a filter box has a cooling system for absorbing heat generated in the vicinity of the thread suction apparatus, particularly by the driving motor, the cooling system being operative at a point, preceding the discharge of the air returned by the suction apparatus into the spanning room. The water content of the discharge air may be brought to that of the spinning room. In one embodiment, air is drawn through the conduit 1 of a thread suction system by a blower 7 and passed through a screen 6 to a portion of the filter box 5 containing pipes 13 fitted with nozzles 12 to spray water into the air. Separating members 14 retain drops of water and the cooled air is passed through a heating coil system 15 before being discharged into the spin- - ning room at the same temperature and moisture content as the air of the room. Instead of being discharged over metal strips 16 at the bottom of the filter box, the ccnditioned air may pass into a conduit located above the spinning machine and furnished with outlet orifices.directing the air downwardly for the removal of loose fibres and dust. A common control means may be provided for apparatus applied to several spinning machines. The apparatus may also be controlled in common with air conditioning arrangements for .the spinning room.
