<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, a client/server type information processing system, and an information processing method that enable to prevent information leakage owing to theft of a client. <P>SOLUTION: Applications are collectively stored in an application storage means of a server 30. When a power supply of each client 50 is turned on, an application suitable for a device of each client 50 is downloaded from the server 30. The application is deleted, when the power supply of each client 50 is cut off. Data are collectively stored in the server 30. Data are deleted after processing in each client 50. By this, it is possible to prevent the information leakage, even when each client 50 is stolen, while achieving a cost reduction of the system, allowing a user to easily cope with version upgrading or failures of applications, and improving the convenience of the users by allowing each user to set a version of each application. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
