INFORMATION APPARATUS FOR A VEHICLE

An information terminal for a vehicle is provided to collect toll fares without stopping the vehicle by adding a remote fare transaction function to the information terminal. A terminal body(110) includes a GPS(Global Positioning System) module(117), a controller(116), a display unit(111), a connection terminal. The display unit displays information on a front panel thereof. A mounting unit is formed at a rear portion of the terminal body. The connection terminal is formed inside the mounting unit. A hi-pass terminal(120) includes a transceiver and an electronic card reader(124). A connector terminal is detachably coupled with the mounting unit of the terminal body and contacted with the connection terminal of the terminal body. The controller processes an output signal from the hi-pass terminal and displays the processed result on the display unit.
